The electronic records/content standards industry committees have developed several standards and best practices related to Trustworthy electronic records management to protect mission-critical records. This discussion will focus on the components of electronic record storage technologies and other techniques necessary to protect mission-critical official records.
Topics covered what to consider related to protecting agency records, managing electronic records environment ensuring trustworthiness today, along with change management related to how to ensure records are properly stored and protected. The term “environment” is used rather than “solution” as the trustworthiness of electronic record keeping is not only software and hardware but also policies, procedures, and methodologies combined.
